AELP

The Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP) represents the interests of over 800 organisations that deliver apprenticeships, employability support and vocational learning. Our members deliver publicly funded skills and employment programmes and train 7 out 10 apprentices in England. The AELP membership comprises independent private, not-for-profit, local authority and voluntary sector providers; employers; universities; further education colleges and end-point assessment organisations.

Apprenticeships give young people jobs and meaningful careers. This is why AELP champions their growth across all business sectors and at all levels of progression. For young people who leave school with few qualifications, traineeships and study programmes are also important routes into work with traineeships being effective in preparing a learner to embark on a full apprenticeship. AELP’s role is to ensure that the government properly funds these programmes and that the regulatory regime surrounding them enables high-quality provision to flourish for the benefit of the employer and the learner.
